Mario Molina Biography: Mario Molina was a scientist, His full name is Mario Jose Molina. Dr. Molina was born on March 19, 1943, in Mexico City. Molina Mario died on 7 October 2020 in Mexico City (On October 7, 2020, at the age of 77, Dr Molina died of a heart attack in Mexico). Dr. Molina completed a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. And an advanced degree from the University of Freiburg, Germany. After completing his studies, he moved to the United States to do postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, and later at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In the early 1970s, Dr Molina started doing research, that Synthetic chemicals affect the Earth’s atmosphere. He was one of the first to discover that chlorofluorocarbons (a chemical found in air conditioners, aerosol sprays, and others) were destroying the ozone. And were transmitting ultraviolet radiation to the surface of the earth. He and his co-researchers published their findings in the journal Nature, after which they received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
