In 1998, Wadhwa made his film debut in the movie Main Phir Aaoongi. He starred in the movie Bewafa Qatil that same year. In the year 2000, he played Rajiv in the film Dr Mukta. He played Rohit in the 2001 movie Rahul. In 2004, Wadhwa appeared as a performer in the film The Hope.

In 2004, he appeared as Col. Inayat Kiani in the Indian epic biographical war film Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero. He played the role of Gandharvasen in the 2018 hit movie Padmaavat. he worked on the films Baa Baa Black Sheep and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi In 2018 and 2019.
