Manik Saha is an Indian politician who was appointed as the 11th Chief Minister of Tripura in 2022. Manik Saha was a dentist before joining politics and later became a professor in a medical college. After some time, he entered politics by joining the Indian National Congress in 2016. He left the Congress and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and in 2022 became the Chief Minister in 11 from BJP in Tripura.

Career
Career as a doctor and teacher:
Manik Saha quickly rose to the rank of a Senior Dental Surgeon while serving in the Tripura Dental Health Service under the Government of Tripura after completing his post-graduation from George Medical College in 1994. Worked as a teacher and then worked as a professor at BR Ambedkar Memorial Teaching Hospital in Agartala.
Political Career
Manik Saha serves as the head of the department at BR Ambedkar Memorial Teaching Hospital. He started politics by joining the Indian National Congress. In 2016, Manik Saha left Congress and joined the BJP Bharatiya Janata Party.
