After marrying Alok Maurya in 2010, Jyoti Maurya took permission from her husband to prepare for PCS. Alok Maurya, who was a Class IV government employee, managed to manage money and got Jyoti Maurya prepared for PCS.
She took admission to a private coaching institute in Prayagraj after getting permission. Along with this, he also prepared from Vajirao & Reddy Institute and Disha IAS Academy under D. N. Pandey. After clearing the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Combined State/Upper Subordinate examination in 2015, she pursued a career as an Administrative Officer.
