Hakam Ali Khan, the present MLA of Fatehpur Assembly, is the younger brother of former three-time MLA Bhanwaru Khan.
Before becoming the MLA of Fatehpur Vidhansabha, he had also been the sarpanch of his Gram Panchayat Rolsabsar.
Bhanwaru Khan from Fatehpur Assembly Constituency 1998-2003, 2003-2008, 2008-2013 won the election thrice from the congress party. He contested in 2013 also but lost the election to independent candidate Nandkishore Mahariya by around 5000 votes.
Bhanwaru Khan died on 21 December 2014 And the Congress party lost one of its good and talented leaders. He was suffering from blood cancer for a long time and he had also got his treatment done but could not recover. Hakam Ali Khan was born on 20 March 1996 in Roll Sahabsar village near Fatehpur. His father was a farmer. The first person from his family to enter politics was his brother Bhanwaru Khan. He started his politics by winning the election of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, after that he became MLA from Fatehpur Vidhansabha three times on Indian Congress Party ticket.
After the death of Bhanwaru Khan in December 2014, younger brother Hakam Ali Khan entered politics and made a good mark for himself.
Hakam Ali Khan used to do his business in Dubai before coming into politics. After that, he along with his brother started making inroads in politics, and from here his political career started.
In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, the Congress party gave him a ticket and he defeated his rival BJP candidate Sunita Jakhar with a very small margin of 853 votes.
