Gaurav Munjal did his schooling at St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur. After this, he moved to Mumbai to do engineering. He attended the prestigious NMIMS University. Establishment of Unacademy and Achievement of Gaurav Munjal:
In 2015, Gaurav decided to revolutionize India’s education system by developing Unacademy. He was confident about Unacademy. So, he approached his childhood friend Roman Saini to join Unacademy. Roman Saini was one of the youngest people in India to clear the entrance examination of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Moreover, at the age of 21, he cleared the UPSC exam and established himself as one of the youngest IAS officers in the country.
Roman was working as a collector in Madhya Pradesh when Gaurav told him about Unacademy. Gaurav’s vision took Roman inside. He decided to leave his journey as an IAS officer and proudly joined Unacademy making it the foremost online platform for study.
Thereafter, Hemesh Singh, an alumnus of MNNIT Allahabad, joined Unacademy. He was working as the Chief Technical Officer of Flatchat at that time. In September 2015, Gaurav along with Roman and Hemesh started the journey to build the country’s largest tech company.

- Unacademy first started as a YouTube channel in 2010. In 2011 Unacademy became one of the most subscribed educational channels in India with 12 million video views and 1 million views per month.
