Career & Film Debut
In 2002, he made his acting debut in “Thulluvadho Ilamai,” directed by his father. He performed in the 2003 Tamil movie “Kadhal Kondein,” which was directed by his brother Selvaraghavan. His movies didn’t perform well at the box office in 2004, and flops like “Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan,” “Sullan,” and “Dreams” were of them. The success of his later films, including “Devathaiyai Kanden” (2005), “Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam” (2005), “Yaaradi Nee Mohini” (2008), and “Padikkadavan” (2009), helped grow his acting career.
On May 20, 2010, Dhanush and his wife founded Wunderbar Films, a production firm for movie productions.
